El Ball de la Marratxa

Folk tradition: El ball de la Marratxa 😊💚⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Is a traditional dance of my town (Sant Julià de Lòria)⁣⁣
which represent a emblematic historic event: "els pariatges" that was a agreement between Spain and France that establishes the two powers as equal in the country.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
👉Is always danced with 6 girls (who represent the 6 ancient parts of the country) and 2 boys (who represent France and Spain). It is danced in summer, in the traditional festival of the town and when the dance ends, candies🍬 are thrown on the floor and the children go to collect them. ⁣⁣

👗About the folk costume: in girl's dress is represented the Grandalla🌼 (the traditional Andorran flower) and the boy's hat has the Andorran flag :) I will tell you more things in the nexts illustrations :)⁣⁣
